Trisha Ann Thurber
1978 ~ 2013
Trisha Ann Thurber, 34, passed away February 6, 2013 after a courageous fight with brain cancer. She was born on August 27, 1978 to Gregory L. Thurber and Patricia Ann Atwood. Trisha graduated from Alta High School in 1996 and from Brigham Young University in 1999 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. She worked at Hill Air Force Base for ten years as a F16 Avionics Hardware and Software Engineer. She served in the New Hampshire Manchester Mission. Trisha had her realtor license with Keller Williams. She liked to hike, camp, fish, bike, shop and make crafts. Her nieces and nephew referred to her as “Trisha Claus” because of her never-ending generosity.
Trisha is survived by her parents, her sisters, Holly Jones (Tyler) and Emily Call (Justin), her brother Ryan Thurber, her nieces and nephew, Ella and Lily Jones, Caitlin, Mayci and Davis Call, her grandmother Norma Atwood, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.Thank you to everyone who participated in and helped with the Trot for Trisha. It was a highlight in her life. Thank you also to all the dedicated medical professionals who helped her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 10:33 am at the Temple Point Meeting House, 11038 S. Braidwood Drive, South Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, Utah and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:15 am at the church prior to the service. Interment at South Jordan City Cemetery.
