Douglas Grant Hanson
1977 ~ 2011
Our beloved son, brother, dad, and friend who came to us early; left early to return to his Father in Heaven on January 23, 2011.Doug was born May 19, 1977, in Salt Lake City, UT, to James G. and Olivette C. Hanson, into a family who loved and cherished him dearly. He was a beautiful blonde, blue-eyed boy with a heart of gold and a mind for mischief! Intrigued by gizmos and gadgets he was often found pulling things apart so he could put them back together, newly “improved.” Graduated from Alta High School and received an Assoc. Degree in Computer Technology from Stevens-Henager College. He loved working with electronics and collecting the latest tech toys. Doug touched the hearts and lives of everyone he met with his generosity and kindness.
Survived by his son, Christian; his parents; siblings, Tina (Ron) Mecham, Tim Hanson, Ron Hanson, Marianne (Bryan) Tischner, Jared Hanson, Lettie Kae (Creston) Anderson, Robert Hanson, Paula (Clayton) Phelps; many nieces and nephews. We love you, Doug! Your family, Katalin, and friends will miss you terribly. We know that you are in the arms of your loving grandparents, happier than you were before.
Family and friends may call Thurs., Jan. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary (1950 E 10600 S). Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Fri., Jan. 28, at the Draper 12th Ward LDS Chapel (12300 S 600 E); viewing prior to service from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
