James Everett Thorp, age 16, died March 23, 1995 in Draper, Utah.
Born June 19, 1978 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Edward Elvin and Jayne Sevier Thorp.James was a Junior at Alta High School. He was active in Boy Scouts and was currently the Sr. Patrol Leader of Troop #51 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He also enjoyed snow skiing, track and hunting.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Edward E. and Ellen Thorp, of Draper; mother and stepfather, Jayne and Eddie Mouchet, and sister, Sara Thorp, all of Griffen, Georgia; grandparents, Leroy and Eden Thorp, Wenatchee, Wash.; Milton Feldman, Leonia, New Jersey; Richard and Judy M. Sevier, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Marge Sevier, Ponca City, Okla. Preceded in death by grandmother, Florence Feldman.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, 5 p.m., at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, in Sandy, where friends may call one hour prior to service.
